The Pennsylvania Lawyers Fund for Client Security considers certain losses caused by attorney dishonesty. It decides whether a claim qualifies. It is separate from a criminal case and from a disciplinary complaint.
The Fund says filing is free and you do not need a lawyer to submit its claim form. It also requires a disciplinary complaint with the claim unless one has already been filed, subject to its stated exception.
